Protect your device from malware
The key thing to remember about malware on Android is that you have to actually install the malicious app. Malware writers will use increasingly clever techniques to try and trick you into doing just that.
Beware of malware lurking behind QR scan codes
An increasing amount of those popular QR scan codes, or 'block bar codes', are becoming an easy way for hackers to spread malware on smartphone devices. Before you scan any code you find, feel it (if possible) to make sure that it is not a sticker that has been placed over the real code.
Never download APP from unknow source
Downloading apps outside of legitimate app stores can make your device vulnerable to malware. The safest bet is to stick with downloading well-known apps from well-known reputable markets like Google Play in addition to having a security app.
New malware infects pc spread to the phone via USB
Can a virus be transferred from my laptop to my mobile phone through a USB cable? Yes, maybe. In fact the virus can be transferred but it will not effect your mobile phone because as they are generally designed for computer, it will not effect your handset. But, prevention is better than cure (if there's a cure).
How to protect?
Careful to connect to free WiFi
It’s not uncommon for us to connect to Wi-Fi wherever we go. While the ability to connect just about anywhere is convenient, it also has opened the door for hackers to gain access to our personal information. If they hack the Wi-Fi connection you are using, they can not only see data stored on your computer, but see data you are typing into online sites. They also will often set up fake free Wi-Fi connections or hotspots specifically aimed to hack your phone.

What to do?
To remove virus from Android, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Uninstall the malicious apps from Android
Android phone will get infected with viruses from a malicious app that is installed on the smartphones. In this first step, we will try to identify and uninstall any malicious app that might be installed on your Android phone.
STEP 2: Scan your device with Antivirus apps
In this step, we will scan your Android phone for malware with Mobile Antivirus application. There is some free anti-malware antivirus application which will help us detect if any malicious app or file is installed on your device.
STEP 3: Factory reset
If you do get a virus, you could perform a factory reset to get rid of it, but that means you’d lose all your data — those photos you shot, the saved games, the text messages, and everything else. Obviously, you want a factory reset to be your last option.
